Rick Williams ten years of marketing and brand development encompasses business ownership and experience in spearheading various individual and collaborative marketing projects. Building relationships through trust and consistency is how Williams gained numerous collaborations and projects with major companies such as New Balance, Saucony, Reebok and U.S. Playing Card Company (Bicycle Playing Cards) to name a few. Williams was recently ranked as one of Complex Magazine’s: 50 Most Influential People in Sneakers.

Williams is owner of the Distinct Life, a brand development company that develops strategies and brings life to businesses in areas that have untapped potential. Distinct Life has partnered with companies like Heineken and New Balance to shed a positive light on the city of Detroit and its potential. Williams, through the Distinct Life, has participated and developed fundraising initiatives for various causes like The Jordan Thomas Wachler Foundation, which contributes money to Juvenile Diabetes research and Wolverine Human Services, which is one of Michigan’s largest agencies rehabilitating delinquent youths. The Distinct Life also collaborated with Detroit Denim, as a part of the first offering of Distinct Life’s Dry Goods Collection. Through working with companies like Detroit Denim, it confirms William’s faith in the immeasurable talent in the city of Detroit.
